Yes I've heard of the so-called Flynn Effect, where I.Q. points have apparently increasing with more years of education throughout the last 100 years, with some groups of humans getting higher scores than others.

There's also the 'Raven Matrix Test',where it tries to test the innate intelligence potential of people. It's where the East Asian people scored the highest of them all.

IQ tests are useless. They are formulated for a certain demographic and so are biased towards that group, causing all others to be lower. From an anthropological standpoint, intelligence cannot be measured through a test. How can you use the same test on a middle-class white American male from the suburbs and an Australian aborigini? Completely unfair, these people don't have the same sort of knowledge because of their different lifestyles.

Also, I think this book should've never made through the editors when they saw that this author apparently was able to calculate the IQ of Homo erectus and some monkeys and apes. I mean, the last I heard, Homo erectus was extinct and to calculate IQ you need a living test subject, right? Learn from this book how NOT to perform an intelligence study and also take home the message that there aren't any racial differences when talking about intelligence.

How the hell did they measure a monkey's IQ score? No wonder the poor things scored so low; monkeys don't do logic problems.

IQ scores don't measure intelligence and they're culturally specific. Notice something about the lowest-scoring groups? They're all peoples who deal with incredible poverty or oppression or lack of education. They also tend not to, er, benefit as much from white western culture. You can't possibly tell me that your average African grows up learning the same sorts of things as your average American. So at the top, you have Europeans, who made the test specific to their culture, and two groups that are well-known for valuing education and study above and beyond most other cultures.

And all those groups with the super-low scores? You seriously want proof that that doesn't mean anything? Forest Gump was supposed to have an IQ of 75. Try reading something about MButi or Australian aboriginal culture and tell me that they were developed by people who traditionally wouldn't be allowed in regular schools in the US. Bull. You try surviving in one of the most arid continents in the world which is full of some of the most deadly creatures on the planet, and then tell me how much IQ scores matter.

you comprehend you're going to get a properly-reasoned argument at the same time as a author cites Wikipedia and "one guy did a study on races and intelligence". Racial transformations in IQ ratings ought to or may not exist self sufficient of even if evolution is authentic. those study on my own, even if I generic their validity, would not be sufficient to cajole me of innate transformations between races because there are countless environmental elements at play, yet I stick with the position the concepts takes me, everywhere which could be. so some distance, it has led me to evolution and under no circumstances racism.

It's hard to know if it's changing or not, as we don't really know what it was before.

The only one I would question is the Middle Easteners. I feel they should be much higher up the list.

These are the people who gave us mathmatics and the zero. The people who built the pyramids while Europeans were still living in mud huts.

And how did they get the IQ of Homo Erectus?

Well these are based on IQ test. Iq test are real bias, i know its sounds untrue but they are. You can train to get a genius score on IQ test because they are the same type questions. I went from a

above average IQ test to a mensa genius IQ by taking IQ test straight for 2 weeks. It deals with a type of thinking, I highly doubt I became a genius in 2 weeks, it has to do with being able to recognize the question types easily.

IQ test will have thing like seinfield is to friends like apples is to organges. For an african person they don't know what seinfield is or friends so they will get that question wrong. Trust me if there questions like Canibus is to NWA as p.diddy is to the hot boys most whites would do poorly on IQ test.

Plus Iq test only measure 1 of 7 types of intelligence.

Oh, good grief! With this myth never die?

Tested HOW, exactly?

People vary as to intelligence.

People also vary as to things like their culture, their reading ability, and in whether and when they were malnurished -- in the womb, or in their early years.

But what everyone who knows anything at all about statistics knows is that the differences WITHIN each group vastly outweigh any differences between averages between groups.

Looking at those numbers, it reeks of being completely bogus.

Wow, I had no idea that Homo Erectus could be surveyed.

I really would like to see the source. :-/
